The Marble Project

Our mission is to help people of less prosperous areas and less fortunate circumstances live fulfilled and contented lives in Eastern Europe.

The Marble Project is a small, Essex-based charity which is committed to looking after vulnerable children, families, people with severe physical disabilities and mental health issues, as well as the frail and elderly. Our focus is presently Bulgaria – specifically the town of Berkovitsa, in the region of Montana and its surrounding areas.

Our dedicated team of UK-based volunteers visit this part of Bulgaria a few times a year, meeting with the growing number of people joining our cause, in order to organise social and fundraising events, along with supporting infrastructure build projects amongst other community initiatives – all of which helps to change peoples’ lives for the better. More can be found in our Projects area of the website.
